TVHS Girls Soccer Season Recap 11/14

Under the guidance of Head Coach Jason Herbert, the Teays Valley High School girls soccer team concluded an exceptional season, showcasing resilience, dedication, and outstanding teamwork. The Vikings finished 14-2-1 overall and went 5-1-1 in the OCC-Buckeye in their first year as members of the conference. I got together with Coach Herbert and asked him some questions.

Season Highlights:

Resilient Win: Notable victory against Pickerington Central, overcoming multiple deficits.
Tournament Triumph: Victory against Logan, demonstrating adaptability and determination.
Freshman Factor: Sophia Hastler's impressive contributions throughout the season.

Team Achievements:

Record-Breaking: Set or tie multiple program records.
Academic Excellence: Won State and National Team Academic Awards.

Senior Leadership:

The senior class demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication, and improvement throughout their high school careers.

Coach Herbert's reflection:

"We're incredibly proud of our team's performance. Our culture was strong, and our focus on daily improvement paid off. Our seniors led by example, and our underclassmen made valuable contributions."
