TVHS Girls Basketball vs Hilliard Bradley 11/26
Ashville: The Vikings open the season with a hard-fought 40-31 loss to Hilliard Bradley.
The Teays Valley Vikings girls basketball team kicked off their season falling short in a 40-31 loss to Hilliard Bradley at home on Tuesday. The matchup was a closely contested, back-and-forth affair, featuring nine lead changes and a strong defensive presence.
Tessa Horsley led the Vikings with a standout performance, scoring 14 points and collecting eight rebounds. Cammi Robbins added five points, while Areyanna Karshner had five points, Cooper McManaway and Addie Helwagen each chipped in three points. Amelia Brumfield rounded out the scoring with one point.
The Vikings controlled the third quarter, outscoring the Jaguars 13-9. However, Hilliard Bradley responded in the fourth quarter, limiting the Vikings to just two points. Following the loss, the Vikings will take a week-long break for the Thanksgiving holiday. They will then begin their inaugural OCC Buckeye season against fellow league newcomer Logan on the road 12/03
