Trevor Younkin Announces Decision to Step Down- April 2nd, 2025
Teays Valley High School Girls Basketball Coach Trevor Younkin Announces Decision to Step Down
Ashville, OH - After careful consideration, I have decided to step down as the head coach of the Teays Valley High School girls basketball team, effective immediately.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the helm of this program and am grateful for the experiences and relationships I've built along the way. However, due to various personal and professional commitments, I feel it's time for me to pass the torch.
I'm confident that the program is well-positioned for future success, with a talented and dedicated group of student-athletes. The cupboard is indeed full, and I have no doubt that the next coach will have a great opportunity to build on the foundation we've established.
I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to everyone who has supported me throughout my tenure, including assistant coaches, players, parents, and the entire Teays Valley community. Your encouragement, guidance, and enthusiasm have meant the world to me.
Special thanks to my incredible assistant coaches - Josh Kellough, Dan Reid, Shayna Hemming, and Samantha Rohrbacher - who have been instrumental in the program's success.
Thank you again for the opportunity to lead this program. I wish the team all the best in their future endeavors.
