Eli is not better than Brady, but he's been better in the two games that have mattered. That's all that can be said. If Eli is better than Brady, then he's also better than Rodgers, Peyton and pretty much every other QB in the league.

Oh, and if Welker makes that catch, we aren't discussing this.

Are you so sure? What's to say Eli doesn't still drive the Giants down the field to win the game even if Welker makes that catch. There was still 4 or so minutes left in the game. You would have the same discussion but different circumstances.

Possibly but then again it didn't take Eli long to put the Giants into scoring position. I think you are putting too much emphasis on one difficult catch.

If they score on that drive, it's an 11-point Pats lead with about 3 minutes left in the game. I think it's perfectly reasonable to assume that the Pats win if Welker catches that ball.
