JIST KIDDIN. In round two of the five round GHSA 7A playoffs. The Valdosta Wildcats (the Region 1-7A two seed) journeyed 250 miles to Gresham Stadium in Carrollton, to play the number four state ranked Carrollton Trojans, and their five star QB1, Ju Ju Lewis. The CATS held tough going into the half, trailing only 13-7 at the break. And THEN, the Trojans, much like those DAWGS did in Volnessea today, said enOUGH was enough. And went out to a 45-7 lead, until their backups surrendered 21, ending the Wildcats intentions of maintaining their record as the winningest team on the planet, 45-28. Valdosta ends its season 7-4, with their second round exit to the playoffs. OH WELL, I GUESS the VHS dynasty will have to wait yet another season to claim that illusive big school state title. The last time that that happened was 1992. (a tad over three decades)
