Now that my daughter's high school carreer is officially over, I want to tell her and her Perry teammates thank you!
thank you for a magical year. It was fun coming to watch you ALL play as a team and having fun on and off the field. You showed many how to lose with dignity and win with class. You gave hundreds of little girls the hope that some day they too can achieve their dreams as you have. You have fulfilled a 6 year dream of some crazy parents that just knew you where going to be champions. What a ride it has been!
I wish all the seniors success as they go off to college
Megan Marino--Walsh
Anna Fach--John Carrol (playing softball)
Maria Tayse--Malone (playing softball)
Sarah Samblanet--Malone (playing softball)
Caity Ferrell--Wheeling Jesuit (playing softball) see you in Florida
Kourtney Yarnall--Ashland University (playing softball)
Good luck to next years team at Perry--keep the dreams alive in Perry and bring home the championship next year too. Thank you Casi Rohr, Morgan McLaughlin, Shelbi Tilton, Abbey Filliez, & Jayla Saibene for making my daughter's senior year a rememberable one!
GO PERRY!
Dale Yarnall

Couldn't you have put this in the Perry forum? I doubt that anybody else is interested.

Mr. Yarnall: your daughter and the rest of the seniors will be missed. Thank you for updating us on where they are going to college.

Gocards: go back to the football forum and and show your lack of class there. If you are not interested, then don't read the thread. These girls just won a state championship, and unlike you, most people in this area are very proud of them.

Perry Softball State Champs!!!!!

I wouldn't have had a problem with the thread if he had identified what it was about like the other thread that identified Perry in the title. I had to click on this thread to find out what it was about.

goblue7: In the Federal League, we are very proud of our FOUR state titles this year, certainly including the latest, Perry softball. As a Jackson guy, it gives me great pleasure to see our fellow league-mates have a chance to bask in the glory. Please pass along a hearty congrats to your daughter and the whole team/staff of Perry softball, and I hope your daughter enjoys her time at Ashland.

PS: Stick around yappi, even though your main reason for posting just graduated. ;)

goblue,

Congrats to your daughter and her teammates on a fine season. I got to see most of the big games in the league and enjoyed watching how they played the game. Good luck to all the Perry seniors in their college endeavors :)

Your daughter played amazing this whole year. Congrats. I didn't think that ball would ever land in the state-semi game. What a shot! Perry played like a class act all year.

In the last fitch game, we gave you a slight scare, but your girls handled it will class and were extremely nice after both games. It goes without saying but Congrats on being the best. Good luck in the future.

Being from SW Ohio I have no problem with this post.
I think I probably even did one just like this here or on the other forum
when my daughter graduated and they hadn't just won the state title.

GoCards come one, you know if Colerain would have won the year that Emily (and I'm a big Emily fan she's a heck of a girl and ball player ) that we would have seen something like this so give them a break. They deserve it.

I watched the final game on TV the other night and it looked like a great game. Good luck to the seniors at college and enjoy it it goes quick.
My daughter is already going into her Junior year and it just seemed like yesterday she was in high school.

I agree 100%. Just another chance to toot his/Perry's horn again. Hopefully that's the end.

Congrats and move on goblue7

If you dont like it then close the blog and move on! If we are not allowed to be excited about winning the schools first ever team State Championship then that is a shame. I am sure if it was Hoover winning again or Boardman winning then it would be okay. Since it was Perry..who no one thought would win the Federal League...then we need to just sit and the corner and be happy. You are one of the same people who want to keep a blog going about an award that doesnt exist..there is not a stark county player of the year..get over it! However, there is a 2010 Div I State Champion in softball, and that TEAM deserves as much hype as it gets--again you need to get over it. I started a blog whoopie, maybe I will write a book now like the Jackson faithful did for their basketball team......oh yeah TOOT TOOT

There is a Stark couty player of the year award and Alex Marcantonio won. It was in the Canton Repository last weekend.

Good for Alex Marcantonio and congratulations to her, she is a great player. It doesn't change the fact this thread was started to thank the seniors and the rest of the Perry Panthers for a great season. Then you have people like gocards and Mudcat showing no class and coming on here and complaining. If you don't like it go away, the rest of us are very proud of them.

mje,

Maybe if you would have read the article without your orange colored glasses on you would have noticed that it was the FEDERAL LEAGUE Player of the Year and not the STARK COUNTY Player of the Year.

I'd imagine she got both... the Repository does generally name a stark player of the year in most sports.. don't know why softball would be any different

I don't think that there is even an all county team for softball. At least I can't remember there ever being one. I tried to search last year's archives and did not find anything.

The spring sports deserves the same kind of all-star wrap up coverage that the fall and winter get... it's a shame.
