Final Comments:
We might be the oldest team in the state but that's because we have a senior group that is very talented and love to play together. I think it's a special group and while we have talked about how that doesn't guarantee anything, we just want to enjoy the journey and truly have fun at each practice and game. When this group plays loose, they play their best. We also have some impact younger guys that should fulfill key roles throughout the season. We should have a very good team offense with a nice mix of plate discipline, the ability to drive the baseball consistently, team speed, smart baserunning, and depth throughout our lineup/several guys off the bench in any given game. Our pitching has made a leap in early bullpens; we'll see how that translates to games. If we can throw enough strikes with the stuff our guys have shown, we'll have a chance to beat anybody we play.
