I truly tried to watch some of the girls state finals. All that came from my watching was the realization that I truly do not like the game of basketball boys, girls, high school, college or pro. I just hate the game. I tried I really did.

Ok.

Really unfortunate outcome for Princeton. They had all the momentum in the fourth quarter then Gerton went down with a knee injury. Not that she was scoring a whole bunch, but she was making a lot of non-box score positive things happen. Took the wind completely out of Princeton's sails. She tried to give it a go on offense but was clearly on 1.5 legs. Pick Central made the clutch threes and free throws and takes home the title.

I hope to see Princeton's Kali Fortson, daughter of UC great Danny Fortson, sign on with a solid mid major program. She'll make someone happy. She doesn't always fill the box score but every time I've seen her she's dominated the paint for rebounds and stick-backs.
