state doubles

okay say districts are over and columbus is only five days away. my question is: where do the southwest district doubles teams stand coming into friday? last year they were fairly dominant, finishing 3 in the top 4 spots. what do the other sectionals have to threaten the southwest teams and how far can you see them getting?
 
 
well there are a couple good columbus teams such as engel/bennoui and the diaz bros. but there is a good team also with salcedo and warden. it should be interesting how it plays out. i think either hamning/cole or diaz/diaz will win it.
 
Not giving any love to X, Wyatt? I'd say Gaffney and Pretorius have to be the favorites after the way they handled Conti/Johnston and tuned up Cole/Hamning...
 
well the diaz bros got the one seed out of columbus..the other one seeds are warden/salcedo from boardman and smith/north from toledo st johns, and then gaffney/pretorius
 
dude i love st. x but the diaz bros have been tooling everybody. i've talked to some players from c-bus and they tell me they have amazing hands and returns. i will be rooting for X though kinda like they do for me so often.
 
yea i understand that..it seems like singles and doubles are toss-ups this year-its strange to see two of the four one seeds as freshman in singles..anyone know how legit these two young'ns are?
 
they are both pretty legit Marx is good, not at Lippert/Bandy level but he may get there in a year or two. Aleman from CVCA is very underrated and only seems to get better as the season goes on.
 
marx is a joke. he is very overrated with everything, i dont see how he beat schrode. he has a weak backhand and a weak serve and an overrated forehand. i think turman can take him. the kid likes to serve and volley off nothing. it will be a good first match to see where he is and if he has a chance. i have no idea who aleman is but i guess he's good.
 
that will be a good match because Turman might have a bigger game just not as versatile, he will have to pass well because Marx does serve and volley a lot. I saw his match with Schrode and it looked like Schrode didn't play too well, but Marx did what he had to.
 
i believe so... i'll take pretorious/gaffney definitely in doubles and i gots money on lippert taking out the winner of a close match against kobelt and bandy, take my word for it.
