What teams are going to be playing at the St. X playday. Any predictions. I hear that Sycamore is pretty sick this year. They have some really tight players.

honestly i think hudson is over rated put sciota in instead

I have not seen Hudson play. Not sure if they will be as good as they have been the past couple of years. You're right about Dublin. I think it is cool X does this. It gives us in SWO a chance to see some solid lacrosse.

there was a lot of good competition last year but the teams this year are pretty weak.
St. Charles Prep and Thomas Worthington are both pretty good teams... Worthington is an MSLCA member, and St. Charles was ranked #10 in Ohio last year. Trinity was #1 in Kentucky last year, and Brebeuf was #5 in Indiana.

Yeah, they're no WRA or UA, but that's still some pretty stout competition. Watch this kid Aaron Taylor for St. Charles, he's the coach's son, saw him play at the 7x7 at Ohio State and he was ripping it up big time. He led their team last year with 34 goals as a sophomore.

Worthington is decent, St. Charles is mediocre. Trinity and Brebeuf are really not very good. They might be competitive in their respective states, but they are miles away from MoeIller and X, let alone other teams in the state. I just figured since they've had teams like WRA and the like there before, it wouldn't be too difficult to keep them around. Why not try and make it a really prestigious pre-season tournament? Keep it to strictly D1 teams and only the best. Moeller and X should easily clean up against all the teams they play.

from what I understand, they moved the tournament back a week and teams that had been there in the past could not make it due to scheduling problems.

I agree that the Kentucky and Indiana teams would have a hard time beating Lakota East (first year D1 team)

MoeLax12 I have heard from friends at Sycamore that their players have been hating the weight pretty hard and that they have some real talent coming back this year. Have you heard anything different?

Not to hate on the Avs or anything, but they were 8-10 last year. 1-6 against OH Div. 1 Reg 4.

It is a good thing that lacrosse is played on a field and not on paper. I vividly remember mighty St. X losing to Mariemont a few years ago in a game. Any given day! Hard work in the off-season can change the tides a lot.m Only time will tell though. Best of luck to all. Any word on how IH is going to be this year?

IH should be alright they started out bad at the sycamore scrimage, they played freshman and no one was doing conditioning. but aside for that they were man handled, it all depends on how they come together as a team and take to their new coach

Th reason why IH got handled against sycamore is this: as far as i've heard, sycamore and Moeller are the only two teams that have been working since fall. They've both put in a lot of work. We'll see how it goes at the X scrimmages on the 15th and 16th.

that is what i said they were in better condition against ih therefore on transitions which happened after every goal ih would get beaten. put in a face off and sycamore is in trouble.

8 games in 2 days! thats ludicrous. Every team is going to be dead tired going into school monday!

Format is 2 12 min periods with clock stops so not as bad as it sounds. On the flip side BLUEnGOLD- Moeller has 4 games straight on Sunday... interesting scheduling to say the least.
