St.Edward Baseball

Baseball in my mind seems to get pushed to the side because it isn't one of the big (football, basketball, wrestling, hockey) four at St.Edward. It doesn't even have attendance even close to hockey, so is this why the baseball team can continue to go year to year and be mediocre without a reaction from the school and it's alumni?

Does the alumni really even care about baseball?

Good Luck to Eagles Baseball in 2004!

The Eagles won it's opener at Bay High by the score of 1-0. The Eagles had 2 hits, but Benes (W, 1-0) and Movial (5th, Save) held the Rockets to only one hit.

Eagles students, fans and alumni can follow the team's progress in the baseball forum of Yappi.

The Eagles improve to 3-0 on the season by defeating Holy Name 14-2 and Morth Olmsted 14-2 at the 2nd Annual Al Gruss/Tony DiBiasio Early Bird Baseball Tournament.

Box Scores for both games are located in the Baseball Forum of Yappi under St.Edward 2004.

The Eagles record improved to 7-1 after they have won the first two games of the Florida Spring Break Trip.

The Eagles are now 9-1 after winning 6-5 in a 10 inning marathon against NDCL in Florida. Movial started and went 7 innings. See St.Edward 2004 in the baseball forum.

Eagles now 10-1. Move to # 4 in the 2nd Plain Dealer Top 10. See St.Edward 2004 in the baseball forum for further updates.

The Eagles move to 17-4 after they had a good week knocking off Walsh Jesuit 4-0 and St.Ignatius 6-3 at Jacob's Field.

The Eagles (17-5) are upset in the sectional championship by Valley Forge (7-13) 7-6. Valley Forge scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 7th to stage a huge rally to knock off the # 4 ranked Eagles in the Greater Cleveland area.
