I noticed Chase Bond didn’t play tonight either. Is he injured too???
Great effort Tigers and good luck to St. Edward's!
Yeah something is up. We definitely missed him and Beasley. Dang I forgot about Welch what the hell is going on?Missed him and Beasley defensively for sure. Didn't see Welch either. Wonder if we had a covid issue (?). All looked fine last week, and how would our kicker be out?

Clown ? but not surprised
Let’s be honest, # 5 would be sweet!Clown ? but not surprised
The next 4 ?What took Massillon so long to open it up? Everyone knows Power is your favorite play, and you only ran one PAP off of it. Young team that sounds like had some guys out, but played tough to the end. Made it interesting and with the expanded playoffs, the Tigers could be dangerous. The next two years will be interesting in Tigertown.

Agreed play calling I just don’t understand sometimes. However young stud QB missed Campbell for a TD on the last drive but to your point, play calling smhSome encouraging things to take away from this loss for a very young Tiger team. Couple of big plays over the top really killed us tonight, St. Ed's Qb just had too much time on those plays. Anyway we knew running between the tackles was not going to work and when we finally had to open it up in the 2nd half and some nice things happened. We continue to struggle with the offensive play calling, not sure why we threw 4 consecutive fade routes to end the game? We can play with anyone in the State, we've got a bright future, but the play calling offensively is head scratching at times.
No, what killed Massillon was a lack of an offensive or defensive front, coupled with a lack of playmakers. If Moore can develop the players, you might have a chance, but with the David Center there is no reason he can’t.Some encouraging things to take away from this loss for a very young Tiger team. ExcusesThree freshman, Slaughter, QB (in relief), Wright DT (starter) and Hendricks K/P (starter), three sophomores, Smith RB (in relief), Snodgrass C (starter) and Clark LB (starter), played the entire, or the majority of the game.
Excuses
With the injuries and the year Ed's is having, that was a damn respectable showing with or without a late TD. It's always hard to stomach any loss but there were a lot of positives out of that one.Agreed. Was really wanting that last score for respectability. Had 4 good shots but oh well. On to Fitch. Hope we have a full squad.
I didn’t see the replay but the pics posted on Facebook make it look like he was easily in boundsThat Td was out of bounce but I'll take it.
We knew that we weren't going to match up well upfront with Ed's and that's why they were able to make those plays over the top, we couldn't get any pressure. Conversely, on offense we weren't going to be able to run between the tackles because we don't have the talent upfront. No, what killed Massillon was a lack of an offensive or defensive front, coupled with a lack of playmakers. I watched the replay several times he had one foot in and almost got two feet. Great catch.I didn’t see the replay but the pics posted on Facebook make it look like he was easily in bounds
Excuses? No sweetie, that's me being positive about moving forward. St Ed was probably going to win had McElroy, Hartson, Rue and Beasley played. No excuses here, the Pick Central and St. Ed's are always going to be a challenge but....you wouldn't understand....congrats on the big Ellet win though.Excuses

That largely sums it up. Talent/size differential in the trenches. The loss of Hartson early was a blow, but he was going to have deal with getting hit in the backfield or LOS the whole night. It was going to be tough sledding regardless. While the Massillon fans may have wanted to take more downfield shots in the pass game, the protection was simply not there to afford the freshmen time. The quick hitters and slip screens were the right calls to get the ball into the receivers hands quickly and hope that your playmakers could make plays. We knew that we weren't going to match up well upfront with Ed's and that's why they were able to make those plays over the top, we couldn't get any pressure. We've got more than a chance, this program is rolling and the future is really bright. As always we've got things that have to be addressed and cleaned up, but overall we're in great shape.
Ankle injuries are rarely caused by hard hits. But thanks for proving my point on the youngens holding their own. ??No probably about it, St Edward was going to win regardless of the injuries. In any case the kicker wasn't going to make a difference.
In case you missed it McElroy and Hartson played, but were knocked out of the game by the hard hitting Eagles.
