St. Clairsville High School, located 10 minutes west of Wheeling, WV is looking to add teams to it’s holiday invitational on 12/28/24. The tournament will take place at the ECO center located on the campus of Ohio University Eastern. The tournament is run as a pool to bracket with most wrestlers receiving 5-6 matches. 4 pools of 5, winners of each pool go to a semifinal bracket 1-4. 2nd place in pool will go to a consi semifinal placing 5-8. If there are more than 20 wrestlers in a weight class the wrestlers not making the main tournament will be placed in a “silver” bracket. There will be a minimum of 4 mats with the possibility of 5/6 depending on the number of teams and other varying factors. Finally, if the tournament runs smoothly at the new location, which we believe it will, we would like to have a vote prior to the finals of all teams if we continue with the 1 day format or if we would like to expand to a 2 day tournament.
