My daughter was competeing in a high school dual meet at Upper Sandusky yesterday. There was one competitor that was out distancing everyone else by 3-4 ft. Prior to my daughter's last throw she used this other competitor's shot. She then out distanced her and told me after the throw that the shot was not regulation weight.
Question: Should she have told the official after her throw?
Would she have been disqualified along with the other girl for throwing an illegal shot? Or would she still be able to count one of her first three legal throws?
