I'm looking for facility information regarding the 1976 Senate Indoor Conference meet in Cleveland the last week of March 1976. John Adams' Steve Davis ran a 49.0 MT (440 yards) indoors at that meet, =#2 All-Time in the country (at that point in time), and that converts to a 48.0 MT over 400m indoors on a banked 200m track. Track & Field News lists the mark as being made on a "(d)" sized track, which means it was 8-9 laps/mile and it was FLAT. The Plain Dealer lists the meet as being at "East High".
UPDATE: I know East Tech has an indoor track in the basement of their school. Very shallow bank, 4 lanes. I'm wondering if it might be that facility?
Question: Are there any old farts here that remember this facility and how many laps/mile it would've been?
