Coach Brower and his assistant coaches get the guys ready each year for the state meet. So many years they go to Canton with the prognosticators saying its going to be runner up. They humbly find a way year after year with guys stepping up knowing that 40+ years of swimming excellence and tradition stand behind them. They thrive on being the underdog and misunderestimated. Their strength is in numbers.
Westrick was sick at the state meet last yearWow, you're high on Westrick... 2nd in the 100 and 3rd in the 200! He definitely has it in him, he had a phenomenal district meet last year. He just has to peak at state next year!
I wonder if the pressure that is put on St. X's top guys will effect the young kids at state.
Don't forget about Nathan Christian and Gabe Whitaker in the 50. Christian was 2nd last year and 3rd this year and Whitaker has been in the final the past 2 years as well
That's true. I see Brodie, Miller, and Trace as the favorites but there are at least 5 swimmers that easily could win the event. Miller should be the clear favorite in the 100 with 7 seniors graduating out of the final heat from the state meet last year.
As far as who is going to get faster, isn't that the great unknown with sprinters. It seems as though in high school they get faster when they grow and mature. There is a long history of the 100 being loaded with seniors. Christian and Whitaker seemed to mature earlier than some of the others, which helped them in their freshman and sophomore years. How much more are Miller and Trace going to mature is anyone's guess. Brodie is young for his grade and is still growing, so one would think that he will get substantially faster. He went 20.72 this year; a drop from 21.44 his sophomore year. They are all very close in time, so any of them could win it with just a little drop in their time.
... moeller has been a top contender in the state meet and in GCLs ever since the teams creation in 67!
So...46 years without ever winning a GCL title, yet they are contenders???
Exactly how long must a team go winless until they are no longer considered "contenders"???
Mr. Montana. Do you not know that Moeller has gotten in second place in every GCL? or were you too busy advertising for sketchers shoes? why would an NFL quarterback need to grub so low for money as to advertise for a children's shoe company? while moeller has been second place every year, everyone needs a silver medalist. that is quite the streak. and i believe that this is truly moeller's year to shine!

Even though I think you are very immature and the majority of your post are annoying, I'll give you credit for this one. It was funny
i am not trying to be funny...
Does anyone know when the 50% eligibility rule is being voted on?
