Planned Waycross TV Schedule (X Lax)

Since St. Xavier is the only school the the "Waycross" area, here are the games scheduled for this year:

(Both JV-A & Varsity are scheduled for TV coverage)

4/5 Dublin Scioto @ St. X (1pm & 3PM)

4/16 Sycamore @ St. X (5:30pm & 7:30pm)

5/14 Moeller @ St. X (5:30pm & 7:30pm)

Anyone interested in being part of the TV crew should call Waycross!

All games will be available on the internet and on Warner Cable on a tape delayed basis.

Since it looks like Waycross is only interested in St. X .....as far as I'm concerned we should kick them off Timewarner, or switch to dish

Waycross Serves Greenhills, Forest Park and Springfield Twp. (Finneytown) If there is another school in that area with a LAX team, let me know!

Waycross has been wanting to serve Colerain Twp for over 20 years, but the township trustees refuse to "buy in" to local TV.

The ICRC covers Moeller and Sycamore some times since they serve those areas.

Norwood Community TV covers Norwood.

West Chester Community TV covers Lakota East and West.

Anderson TV Covers Anderson and Turpin.

Any resident of any community with an access center can bring in a game they taped and have it aired in their area any time. Try that with Dish!

TV Schedule for:

Scioto Irish vs St. Xavier Bombers Lacrosse:

Time Warner cable channel 24 (available in most of Hamilton County)

Thus. 4/10 - 12 am (wed Mid) Varsity, 2am JV

Time Warner channel 4 (Available in Greenhills, Forest Park, Springfield Twp & Wyoming)
Date JV Varisy
4/6 6pm 8pm
4/8 9am 11am
4/11 3pm (6pm on channel 15 or 22 without a cable box)
4/12 10am 12 noon

You can also watch the games on the internet www.waycross.tv starting at about 8 or 9pm Saturday night.

Are any of these games available for purchase later on DVD, for those of us who have DirecTV or otherwise do not have TW Cable?

If you go to the Waycross web site and go to the game page, there is a "buy a copy of this program" link for the order form. You can also just watch it on the computer if you have broadband internet.

It's too late for this season, but I will start covering Wyoming LAX next year. Sorry I wasn't aware that this team came in.

The Scioto v X varsity game was a barn-burner! 11-10 in overtime.

Three interesting calls:
1) Scioto had a goal called back because the attacker was in the crease. However, slow mo shows that the attacker went into the crease after the ball hit the net. I don't know the way the rule is written, but it looked awkward to me.

2) The goal at halftime. Slow mo shown at the beginning of the second half shows that the shot was not made until the clock showed zero-zero. However, the clock does not show 10ths of a second. The goal occrued about .3 seconds before the buzzer. The time it takes for the sound from the board to reach the mic is about 2 10s of a second. So, it could be argued that if the clock showed 10th of a second, there would have been anywhere from .1 to .3 seconds on the clock.

3) St. X scored on itself by accident. The ball flipped out of the goalie's stick into the net after a pretty hairy attack and scramble for the ball.

It's worth watching. :)

i can't find the link to order the St. X Moeller game from last night?? can anyone get me that link that WX Dude was talking about buying a copy of the game

Sorry folks... It's coming shortly.

[lame excuse follows]
The game started very late yesterday and with two new volunteers (who never saw a LAX game in their lives until last night) it took a long time to tear down and get back to the studio (thanks to the St. X staff that helped carry things back to the truck). When I got back there was a problem with the digital file containing the second half of the varsity game. It was still available in the truck server, but the truck was already packed up and stored for the night. Rather than spend another 45 minutes unpacking and copying files, I decided I would do it first thing today. I went home at 11:30 last night. [/lame excuse]

I should have realized that this is one of those games many people wanted to see right away. Sorry for the delay.

Here is the link

It will be up in about an hour if the conversion doesn't take for ever.

The Warner Cable TV schedule:

Channel 4 in Greenhills, Forest Park, Springfield Twp and Wyoming
Friday 3:30pm
Friday 5/23 11am

Channel 15 (or 22 without a cable box) in Greenhills, Forest Park, Springfield Twp and Wyoming
Today 9pm
Saturday 9pm
Sunday 5pm

Channel 24 (most of Hamilton county and parts of Warren & Clermont County - If channel 24 is showing "The TV Guide" Channel, you will not get the game)

It's still not working...?

Imagine my surprise and shock... the back end of the web site crashed and it's taken quite a while to repair. If all goes well... in about 10 minutes the above link will give you the game. Sorry...

[edit]System blew up again with only 2 minutes to go on the conversion... sorry. The game is on TV right now so it is okay, it's just the conversion to the web that is hung up.[edit]
