Lady Aces Deal Eagles a Late Blow, Win 7-5 in Thrilling Showdown
Amanda-Clearcreek outlasted Madison Plains 7-5 on Thursday, snatching the lead late in the game. Braeleigh Blosser's single in the top of the fifth scored two runs, giving the Lady Aces the winning edge.
Payton Singleton's impressive hitting led the Lady Aces, with three hits in four at bats, including a double in the fourth inning. Singleton's consistent bat helped the Lady Aces tie the game in the fourth and take the lead in the fifth.
Madison Plains Varsity Eagles jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, but the Aces battled back, tying the game in the fourth. The Eagles' Kenzie Vallery and Joy McLoughlin each collected two hits, with Vallery driving in two runs.
Makenna Singleton pitched four innings for the Lady Aces, allowing five earned runs on six hits. Casadee Steinmetz pitched three scoreless innings in relief, striking out three and walking one. McLoughlin pitched seven innings for the Eagles, allowing two earned runs on 10 hits.
The Lady Aces tallied 10 hits, with Blosser leading the way with two RBIs. Singleton and Alex Martin each collected multiple hits.
The Lady Aces will travel to Northmor for their next game on Wednesday.

Panthers Edge Out Fairfield in Thrilling 12-11 Victory
Miami Trace proved their mettle in a high-scoring affair against Fairfield on Thursday, emerging victorious with a 12-11 win. The game was a nail-biter, with both teams trading leads and showcasing their skills and determination.
Fairfield took an early lead, scoring four runs in the second and third innings. Rilee Quickle's triple in the second inning drove in three runs, giving Fairfield a 4-1 advantage. However, the Panthers refused to back down. In the bottom of the fourth inning, they scored six runs on seven hits to take the lead 8-6. Kaylee Everhart's triple was the catalyst, driving in three runs and sparking the Panthers' rally.
The game seesawed back and forth, with Fairfield taking the lead twice more. In the top of the fifth inning, two errors by the Panthers allowed Fairfield to retake the lead 9-7. But the Panthers persisted, with Jayda Jones and Carlee Hauck scoring runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to retake the lead 10-9. Fairfield jumped back into the lead in the top of the sixth inning, thanks to singles by Jobey Hattan and Jorgia Smith. However, the Panthers responded with two runs in the bottom of the sixth, courtesy of Zoey Grooms and Aubrey Keaton, securing the 12-11 win.
Everhart earned the win for the Panthers, pitching four and one-third innings and striking out six batters. Gracie Cordell collected the save, showcasing her skills in securing the victory. Grooms led the Panthers with four hits in four at-bats, while Cordell and Jones each collected multiple hits.
The Panthers will travel to Logan Elm on Monday.

Hilliard Bradley Jags past Teays Valley in Pitcher's Duel
Hilliard Bradley snuck past Teays Valley on Thursday, winning 3-2. Both teams showcased strong pitching, but the Jaguars' offense ultimately proved decisive.

Avery Zwilling's single in the sixth inning gave the Jaguars their first run, but Teays Valley tied the game in the seventh inning on a Mann double. Teays Valley took the lead in the eighth inning on a fielder's choice by Micah Mann. However, Zwilling responded with a single in the bottom of the eighth to tie the game. The Jaguars took the lead in the bottom of the 8th inning on a wild pitch to seal the win.
Lucy Bennett earned the win for the Jaguars, pitching three innings and striking out three batters. Mickey Moody started the game for the Jaguars, pitching five scoreless innings and setting the tone for the team's victory. Zwilling led the Jaguars with two runs batted in and three hits in four at-bats.
For Teays Valley, Alyvia Lawrentz took the loss, pitching seven and one-third innings and allowing three runs on seven hits. Avery Mann led the team with one hit and one RBI, while Sophia Hastler and Lawrentz each collected one hit.
