The Westfall Mustangs are poised for a breakout season on the diamond, under the guidance of Head Coach Raelynn Hastings. With a solid foundation of returning players and a promising influx of new talent, the team is eager to surpass last year's 9-12 mark and make a lasting impact in the league.

The Mustangs welcome back several key players from last year's team, including seniors Logan McNeal, Gabby Henry, Sydney Fuller, and Jill Butcher. These players bring big bats to the lineup and will provide leadership and experience to the team. Adrina Hicks returns to the circle, while Joni Snyder will anchor the team behind the plate.

Freshman Kenzie Cook is expected to make an immediate impact at shortstop. Her skills and enthusiasm will be a welcome addition to the team.

Coach Hastings believes that the team's offense is its strongest skill. With big and consistent bats throughout the lineup, the Mustangs are poised to put up some impressive numbers.

While the team has a lot of potential, there are still some areas that need work. Coach Hastings notes that the team is still fine-tuning the fundamentals and working on getting the little things right.

Despite these challenges, Coach Hastings is optimistic about the team's prospects this season. "I think we have a really good chance to have a great season this year!" she said. "We have great senior leadership and a little more experience this year than we did last year."

The Westfall softball team will kick off their season officially on March 27th with a road game against Circleville, starting at 5:15pm.
