Perry vs Hoover

 
It should be a fun game to watch as all Federal League games are. Im sure we will see Jessica Simpson put on a show. Freshman Alex Marcantonio has truly settled into her position in the Hoover lineup...I've expected big things from her and she's come through!

I've missed the last couple of games due to work and the birth of my 1st grandchild !

I would imagine that it will be a Hoover win. There really is no league team that can match up with the Vikings if Hoover is playing anywhere near their best. I see Jackson got eight against the Panthers and I am sure Hoover will not let Perry back in the game with giving up 5 runs in the fifth inning. I do not understand why the Hoover supporters do not get a microphone and a speaker and announce the starting line ups and all the players on both teams as they come to bat. I would think three state titles with one as recent as last year would afford the girls the opportunity to have their names announced like the boys are.
 
Perhaps that is why they are a state championship team~they do need that kind of stuff to be champions~they are focused and committed and team oriented, they are leaders not bosses, proud of each other as well as themselves, their coach is a low key, don't pay much attention to all of that hype kind of guy~they are here to play ball! Just my opinion!
 
I know Goodpasture is a understated and a fine coach, He was very important to say the least even when Jeff Hite was manager. I hardly think simply announcing their names as they bat would be a distraction to the team. I never said anything elaborate. It would not just be nice for the Hoover girls but for all the girls who play Hoover at home also. We can agree to disagree on this. :) I do admit it is not one of life's great problems but to me it is just another case where girls sports play second fiddle to the boys. That is not fair as boys and girls both work very hard to excell. I am done. :)
