Paris 2024 Olympics & 2028 Los Angeles Olympics

 
Five new sports for LA Olympics: baseball/softball, flag football, lacrosse, squash, and T20 cricket, were approved by the IOC. T20 Cricket returns after a century. Breaking will not be in LA.

Can they possibly come up with something more lame than flag football to keep African, and Central/South American countries out of it? Another Olympic sport that will field 10-12 countries participation. That is what is so great about track & field, that so many different countries are represented.

Not related to the summer Olympics but I would love to see cross country in the winter games. It would also give the African countries some presence in the winter games.

I was going to point out that cross country running is one of the five events in the modern pentathlon, but I see that they combined the marksmanship and the cross country running events together into "laser-run" (think of the winter biathlon with cross-country skiing and rifle shooting, except they are running 3km and shooting laser pistols). Ah well.
