Ottawa-Glandorf vs Lutheran East Updates 3/18 (DIII Championship)

OG has blown a few chances in the last few minutes to cut this down to 5-6 or less. Everytime it seems they're at the hump they miss a layup or a free throw, or Lutheran East responds with a big bucket.

Some of those earlier miscues are coming back to count for a whole lot...OG cuts it to 65-61 with 5.5 seconds left.

OG did what they always do. They compete at the highest level without recruiting anyone. Year after year they compete with teams like LE down to the wire with kids from their own school district from grade school. Unfortunately they’ve come up just short the last few years. The 2020 version would've also been there to compete if allowed. What’s cool though is the support these kids get from the community. The crowds they get are amazing and so good for HS basketball.

Best following I saw here today, any division, was OG.

The lines between D4-D3-D2 are pretty easy to predict.
Not since OHSAA implemented yearly recalculations and reassignments to account for competitive balance (CB) adjustments.

Unless a school’s beancounter chooses to exhaust 75-100 hours of research to a) parse through up-flows of enrollment for the 250-300 schools within 50% of their own student count on either end (bigger than, smaller than) and chart out whose EMIS is going up/down, and b) runs something algorithmic to try and account for as many various CB situations as possible, which can only provide a modest range of higher and lower bounds at substandard confidence intervals [because the CB factor statewide is so inconsistent and SO MANY schools have some CB impact]… which… yeah, not realistic thinking.
