I was surprised to not see Shumate Sunday against Indiana at 184. With him at 197 for this dual and Rogotzke in at 184 - does that mean Rogotzke is the guy at B10 at 184?

I just watched the 125 match. How did Lujan get his point? He didn't get an escape and the announcers never even acknowledged it from what I can see. What did I miss?

Also, How did McCrone ride the entire second period but only get 1:56 Riding Time?

This actually came into play as he missed getting the RT point by 3 seconds which lead to OT.

Did I miss something?

I thought I was going crazy and saw the same thing. Can’t believe no one caught that.

They took time off the riding time clock at the time of the locking hands call. I’m not aware of any rule that says you don’t gain riding time when hands are locked but that’s when they changed it.

correct. I recorded it and had to go back and review what happened because I didn't catch it until the announcers said he had to escape in 56 seconds or less before the start of the 3rd period. Couldn't figure out how that could be until I saw how they handled the call on the locked hands.

Best part of the dual was Rocco Welsh (Fr) vs. DJ Shannon (RSSr). Shannon somehow felt he was going to intimidate Welsh? How'd that work out for him? Welsh wasn't having it, and there was nothing Shannon could do about being treated like a rag doll given to a pit bull to play with.

There is indeed a rule in college that the riding time gets paused while the bottom man gets his chance for a "free move" during a locked hands call.

Been a whole season and I'm still yelling TWO for every takedown. Now I have to due additional mental math? This sport is getting too advanced for me

I hear ya, it's a lot to keep track of, and the scorer's table still messes it up half the time, but this rule's been in place for a while. I forget when they put it in place. They do the same thing (i.e. hold riding time) if the ref gets to a 5 count when the top man drops down to an ankle.
