I thought I'd get this all in now, so all I have to do is put in the scores every week. Got tired of typing out a full schedule. I'll start with this week. You can find weeks 1 and 2 on the St. Edward thread on the Football forum or on the wonderful athletic website, proctored by the one and only kamb.

Week 5 is in the books. Al of our opponents won, although we all wish one of them had lost (Harding)

Remember, we only get 2nd level points from teams we beat. So, root hard for Ursuline, Lakewood, Shaker and Erie Prep. Especially for Ursuline against Warren Harding this week. No disrespect to WGH, but an Ursuline win helps us. What WGH does the rest of this year doesn't affect us.

Overall - 47-21
Considering we provided 6 of those losses and 5 more losses were against another one of our opponents and 1 more was a forfeit, it's easy to see why we have the toughest schedule in the state. Eliminate those and the record is 43-9.
 
TCK and all other Eds fans. Since this is the final week and it sets us up for the play-offs. Any opinions on how the defeated opponeents of the Eagles will do? I think they go 6-0 providing over 30 some computer points. Opinions?

Thinking as I type...

Ursuline, Lakewood, and Shaker win for sure. I think Massillon most likely wins too.

Erie Prep lost to State College 14-0 last year, but I think Prep is a better team this year. I know State College lost to McDowell, who Erie Prep beat, but you know how that logic works.

Finally, there is Huntington North who opens the Indiana playoffs with Warsaw. I think HN has already provided us with more points than expected. Last year they were 3-8. They have, however, won their 1st round playoff game 4 of the last 6 years, including last year. I think it's a toss up here.

So 4-2 at worst, 6-0 if Prep and Huntington North come through.

I think all these games except Shaker are on Friday evening, so the playoff picture will be mostly in place Saturday morning.
 
Regarding Huntington, I think they may be an underdog this weekend. I do know that this Warsaw team beat Homestead, and Homestead is the team that Huntington lost to early in the season to the tune of 56-10 or something like that.
 
TCK looks like you are right on the Huntington deal, it also appears as they have improved throughout the year. Should be intereting...we need them to win. McDowell beat state college 3-0. Prep beat McDowell 21-14...should be interesting. Of course all will be good if we beat Benes.
