Interesting. I'm wondering how the restructuring of D1 & D2 is going to affect things. You'd normally see a New Albany or Walsh in there. But overall, I think the early playoff rounds will be much more challenging than in the past.

Early is a relative word here. There is no sectional now in 1 & 2 so it straight to the district semis.
Most District round games are vs very tough opponents. I cant wait to see how the brackets play out with the teams in the central and SW having a bracket together.

Yeah. Didn't really consider that. I was thinking more of your first game being your first game. I wasn't comparing this year's first games to the first round of districts.

I'm just getting interested again in HS baseball, although this snow today makes me remember why I sort of tuned out over the past several years. :( Haven't gotten out to a game in person yet, but plan to as soon as the weather breaks.

The D1 and D2 playoffs should be wildly entertaining. Someone told me that the way the schedule for playoff games line up makes it tougher for a team with 1 or 2 good pitchers to dominate? Is the playoff schedule more compressed than in previous years?

Thanks for posting. I know I can look it up on the OHSAA site, but much easier getting it here.

I have to find a way to see Moeller play. And Jackson is always crazy good.

What division is the most competitive all around (top to bottom)? I'm leaning towards D2 over D3 and D1. But a strong case could be made for any of those.

I thought D3 was going to be a cake walk for Twinsburg this year and D2 was going to be easy for Walsh. And Moeller seemed to be the preseason cream of the crop. But now, a couple of weeks in, I'm thinking all 3 divisions are much more difficult than I envisioned them being. I was against the reshuffling of divisions at first, but, at least for baseball, I'm thinking it is a very good thing. I still think Moeller, Walsh and Twinsburg win states in D1,2 & 3.
