OHSAA BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING MINUTES (February 20, 2025)

So baseball semi-finals and finals can be played over 3 days in essentially one location (Akron/Canton) but basketball needs a week spread all over the state.......got it lol

Why do they need $9 million in investments? It's not like their income is ever going to just stop coming in

It will if they keep fing things up .

The OHSAA has become an uncontrolled mob out of control. The board has formed a dictatorship as evidenced by creating multiple divisions in all sports without a vote of the membership. It is an absolute dumpster fire. They trying to destroy HS Sports in Ohio. I am happy for all the schools still in the basketball playoffs, but a watered down title with 7 divisions is embarrassing. They have failed to address the dominance of big city private / semi public schools playing in small school divisions, so they just create more divisions so these schools can get more titles. Please go back to 3 to 4 divisions at the most, and classify teams based on the population of the area they draw athletes from rather than enrollment.

Amen.

Why stop there? Why not include per capital income of the attendance areas? Pct of students on free/reduced lunches? State testing scores?
