Ohio vs Ohio State this weekend?

With Michigan canceling on Ohio State and Kent State cancelling on Ohio, it seems natural that these two teams would play

Why not, in a normal season the SEC schedules cream puffs usually the second or third last game of the year. It doesn't hurt them in the polling.

It sounds like this matchup was discussed between both schools for this weekend but ultimately they decided against it.

They should have done it. Regional games like this make sense during times like this. Some football is better than no football and this is an easy 90 minute bus ride.

Makes absolutely no sense in times like these. Ohio State's an outbreak away from having their season ended. If they stay healthy they're a legit title contender and the school gets millions of dollars. Be smart and stay in your bubble

Their title will be illegitimate without 6 regular season wins. The rules clearly state that they are not Bowl or playoff eligible without six wins.

Seems like they are afraid they may have lost.

Apparently you missed where everyone is bowl eligible. The playoff committee never set a number, that was the B1G Ten who then voted to change their rule. The one rule they did enforce was not allowing teams to play outside of the conference. Nebraska was denied earlier in the year. Hard to allow OSU to play someone outside of conference when you'd already said no.

Changing rules mid-season adds an asterisk to this entire year. No respect for the lying Big Ten or any of their teams. Pretty clear at this point this season isn’t a real season.
