Just hoping everything works out for a OSU / LSU NC game.#1 get to choose where they play in the semi-final so it does matter especially with the possibility of playing UGA and Clemson in Atlanta. It would essentially be a home game for them as Athens is an hour away and Clemson is only 2 hours away. Meanwhile, OSU has a huge fan base near Phoenix.
As of now, tOSU has Power 5 OOC opponents for the next 12 seasons, including 2 in at least a couple. The usual anti-Buckeye crowd may criticize the Washington or BC games, but they also have ND, Georgia, Oregon, and Texas. Also, for those that gave tOSU a hard time for no power 5 OOC opponents, the three teams they did play are all in their respective Conference Title Games.
Or they know playoff expansion is happening and OOC games won't really matter
Nice W for the Buckeyes as they did what they had to to get the job done. Not a lot of style points though and I am sure some folks will criticize them for this if they are #1 in the playoff rankings.
It will be interesting to see what happens with this week's rankings, I would not be surprised to see LSU move up a spot because of the beat down they had on Texas A&M. I also think the rankings are huge as while Clemson has not had the toughest schedule and struggled a little mid-season they have battle tested coaches that know the NCAA rodeo and can navigate it better than a 1st year head coach like Ryan Day. The best path for tOSU would be playing a Utah or Oklahoma in AZ. Dabo has already started a little of the head game aspect by feigning disrespect for his team by the NCAA. Also the semifinal games are a few days earlier this year, 12/30 so there is a little less time to get ready and you have to navigate the X-Mas Holiday. Now is the time for Ryan Day to make his mark...
It's Bucks or Buckeyes. Not Bucs. We're not the Buccaneers. LOL!
By the way, the 2021 season CFP title game will be played at Lucas Oil Stadium January 2022. 1st time ever a NCAA football championship will be decided north of the Mason Dixon line and east of the Mississippi.
If we assume LSU, OSU, and Clemson, who ya got for the 4th?Utah would have to lay the wood to Oregon to get in at this point, and still might need help.
Yeah I think that will change things, though if you are on the 8-9 bubble it will still matter just like it does on the 4-5 bubble now.This.
Many think it is just a matter of when, not if the playoffs will expand to 8 so it includes all Power 5 conference champs. At that point OOC will not matter as much unless you are looking for one of the 3 at large spots, then it will be a huge metric especially is a W is against a champ that has qualified.
So scoring eight touchdowns against the thirteenth ranked team is not stylish?Nice W for the Buckeyes as they did what they had to to get the job done. Not a lot of style points though and I am sure some folks will criticize them for this if they are #1 in the playoff rankings.

LSU will not take over the one spot unless the Buckeyes lose. The committee had to give them some credit for the Bama win but they have said from the beginning that the Bucks were the most balanced team. For the same reason I thought it was wrong to jump Ohio State over LSU BEFORE the Michigan game it would be wrong to now put LSU over Ohio State BEFORE the SEC championship game. As impressive as the Tigers beat down of A&M was, the Ohio State beat down of Michigan was more impressive.
I know this won't be a popular position but if LSU beats Georgia then no matter what the BUCKS do against Whisky, LSU should go to #1. This is why I'm so annoyed at Minnesota.
LSU just won 50-7. LSU defense is back at 100%. If LSU beats #4 Georgia. LSU is #1 no matter what. OSU was only number #1 if Alabama was the #4.LSU will not take over the one spot unless the Buckeyes lose. It will be

Their average half time score the last 6 games in the SEC is like 30-6. That’s with two top 10 opponents. In garbage time they give up yards.I'm not sure what you mean by back. Healthy, maybe. But they've been bottom half of the SEC all year.
So the points to Texas and Bama were in garbage time?Their average half time score the last 6 games in the SEC is like 30-6. That’s with two top 10 opponents. In garbage time they give up yards.

Not at all but when you post and use the wrong acronym talking about the Buckeyes, it makes you look like you have no clue about the Buckeyes and are not a fan. Maybe you aren't a fan. In that case you are doing it on purpose, which makes you look even worse in my book. Go Buckeyes!Seriously! Are you auditioning to be a member of the BUCKS grammar police?

To an extent it was as in both games LSU opened up 2 TD leads very late in the 4th quarter. We all know the effectiveness of the "prevent" defense.
Having watched all of LSU's games this season their defense is a trouble spot for sure. It's also head scratching as they probably have at least 5 NFL 1st round picks on that side of the ball. Their secondary is ON PAPER particularly strong. IMO the Tigers D is suffering from the same thing the Bucks D suffered from last year - BAD coaching.
Recently, the LSU D played up to their potential in the first half against Bama and for the whole game against A&M. IF and it's a BIG IF the Tigers D continues to play this well they will be hard for anybody to beat.

I don't recall either LSU going prevent against either. Do you have any film to prove your claim?
Minnesota's loss not good for OSU. Wisconsin lower rated opponent. OSU beating Wisconsin will be dwarfed by LSU beating #4 Georgia. LSU back to #1 and OSU-Clemson in the cards.
