Ohio Heritage Conference 2022

Any chance the Blanchester cancelation was made because off the active shooter/man hunt situation near Wilmington? I thought I read where Clinton-Massie canceled too. I don’t think the stand-off ended until close to four and roads and highways were backed up for hours in some cases.
P.S. I went back and read the posts again and saw it was scheduled for tomorrow night so the cancelation had nothing to do with what was occurring near I-71.

Greenon offense was moving the ball at times but not consistently. they couldn’t sustain a drive. Shawnee was throwing the ball at will, Greenon had some holes on the secondary. Greenon struggled to stop run plays outside the tackles, but they didn’t give up many yards between the tackles. Shawnee was more talented across the board.

i wasn’t able to attend but that’s the recap i received. Greenon has a lot of work to do if they want to compete in the south division. Week 1 is almost here!

I wasn't there last night but I have a friend that scouts for Shawnee that was there and he agreed with this general assessment. He did say neither team seemed very enthusiastic and both seemed to be lacking energy. He kept particulars of the game, concerning Shawnee, to himself but said the Knights do have kids that can play but were simply overmatched by Shawnee. There were several GHS kids he was impressed with, body wise, but didn't transfer that physical look to the field. He said Greenon got out muscled, out ran, out hit, would have been last in line at the concession stand for a hotdog and overall he was disappointed in their effort. He said Greenon looked and played small. Other than that they should be fine in the OHC South....his words not mine. Lots of work to do before week one for the Knights.
He thought it funny that SCC kids were there sizing up the competition and why NE kids were there was a mystery since they don't play each other but looked at it as a Thursday scrimmage and nothing else to do in Clark County or there is a respect and concern of what Greenon can bring to the table.

yeah, Greenon was overmatched. Shawnee looks better than last years team. Greenon will do alright, but just don’t have the firepower athletically as they have the past few years. Shawnee has some really nice athletes and should be a player in Region 16 come playoff time.

NE and Greenon have a decent chance to face each other in the playoffs at some point, that and you are probably right with not much to do in Clark county lol.

Greenon is going to have to improve if they want to get into the playoffs. it’ll take 6 wins.

Northeastern should be good. but really not sure HOW good. if they were to run the table in the north.. whew.. they may be looking at a #1 seed. but that’s a HUGE IF

Speaking of NE, has anyone seen them in a scrimmage? Anyone know where they at tonight?

they’re at Miami East tonight

one poster on here said they were the best team at the scrimmage against Urbana and Bexley last week

After personally playing against them last year, I think they have a pretty good chance. Both us and burg kids have a lot of respect for what NE is building and how strong they can be this year. It is a big IF but the talent is there with that senior class

they may be the most talented team in the league. but they don’t have the same culture as Mechanicsburg, West Jefferson, and Greeneview. they also have minimal experience in big games. the sky is the limit for them. but they could finish anywhere between 6-4 to 10-0
 
Thought NE played decent against Miami East. Pulled out the starting QB half way through the 2nd quarter. Looks like their big running back/d end hasn't seen the field yet this season. Shall see how they compete against Bethel week one.
 
NE 47-0 over Miami East. They had a lot of speed. Not sure who the two running backs they used but both were good. One kid had long hair and could move. The backup QB played well. They have a very good team
 
Miami East is really down right now. I wouldn’t get too squirrely about that win. NEastern is a good team and they have a really tough schedule.

I am excited to see what they can do this season. NE pulled their senior QB just after the 1st quarter, and a freshman played the rest.Their starting Running back and defensive end was still out. They were also still missing their returning tackle and guard.

ditto except Hilltop over SCC.. seems like the Irish have gone through a lot of changes in the last month and a half including losing coach’s mf losing the QB/a good bit of the roster to transfers

also think Southeastern should beat Northwestern. the warriors are BAD

SCC has lost a QB and a coach too now?
I didn't get a chance to see SE Vs East Clinton. I heard SE hung with EC. If that's the case, I look for SE to win.

Southeastern and East Clinton were even in the varsity portion i thought.

apparently CC’s ex HC is now an assistant on staff at Springfield and his son (the QB) went with him

He'll probably will be the back up QB this year and then start next year is my guess. Hopefully SCC can find or develop a QB to replace him.

i believe he is playing DB at Springfield if i heard correctly. i hope SCC can find a QB to replace him in time.

Central has more bodies this year then they had last year. They lost 2 players the runningback came back. Cant remember off top of my head who they scrimmaged this past week but won 28-7
