We need to be a little picky but not sure how much we can be. I'd rather add a quality school than settle for a school that may not be able to bring teams and sports programs to the table. This is our chance to build the conference a little better than it is today so it remains stable with quality teams.

I think Bath would fit into the conference well geographically, competitively and size wise. If I was the NWC commissioner that would be my target to add. 6 football schools will make for a scheduling nightmare. The obvious would be LB, but they’re kind of on an island geographically.

LB wouldn’t be as terrible geographically as you think. Spencerville would be the worst trip, but that’s always been the case. Every other school trip would be 95% on I-75, 30, or other main highways. Not sure you’d get all of the league on board with them though unless they get desperate
I wondered the same thing since they seemed to make such a big deal about leaving the BVC in the first place.
Wouldn't Liberty be the biggest school in the NWC? They're only going to get bigger.
I’m sure they would be, but at what point does desperation set in?

Crestview is starting to sweat bullets. They are not wanted. The GMC can't stand them and the NWC is hindered by their geographic location.

The NWC is hindered by the location of Crestview, Lincolnview, and Spencerville. Delphos some too. The travel is not direct even going on 30. This conference in this economy is not cost effective.

Thanks for calling me magical, but just like in the Wizard of Oz, I think the curtain has just exposed my actual limited knowledge on the NWC. Did hear another NWC member is now looking for a move out of the league. Looks like the dam has burst.
Violence is never the answer! Some would like to convince 1-2 more NWC schools to move to the BVC. It will be interesting to see if they now are interested. I predict that the BVC will be looking for 1 or 2 more schools to start when LB and in my opinion Elmwood leaves. Either an 8 or a 10 team league.

Something better than having to go to Allen East, Bluffton, and Columbus Grove. Spencerville is a better trip than all 3 of those for my area. You know what I'd like to see as *67 laid it out again.
They left BVC because of LB. Now LB is gone [forced out]. Happy to return. If LB ends up playing Leipsic in football, I would pay big money to be there. Would be a game to remember or maybe to forget quickly.
JUST THINKING OUTLOUD: The BVC should poach as many schools as it can and go to two divisions based on size/location/competitiveness. That way when a couple schools become less competitive in football and decide to jump [it will happen, I will let you know when], the league will have enough members to handle it. Non league games are becoming harder to find [mostly due to NWCC] and leagues that can play 9 league games are better off. The BVC could become a major d6/7 league in Ohio. Cant wait for the comments.
I know from an NWC standpoint, this situation stings, but I do have to give props to Leipsic. For years, BVC teams bitched about LB and getting pushed around from an administrative and athletic standpoint. Leipsic was the first school to "push back" and got the ball rolling. I'm not "in the know" so there could've been other districts that played a major role in this realignment, too. I just know Leipsic had the gull to make it public, so again, props to them.
