Northwest Conference 2024

This was from the Van Wert Times Bulletin paper.

I hope Bluffton remembers this when they play Grove. Go Dogs.

I get it that most would kneel and probably the right thing to do. However, if you don't like it or want them to do it then you better find a way to stop them.
Having your starters in the whole game? Seems the coach wants injuries to happen to his starters. If it said the end of the 3rd quarter, would be a different story.

So....if a player from the team that is losing tries a cheap shot and injures a ball carrier or anybody for that matter who would you blame?

Just stupid coaching to get their rankings and pad their stats.

If that's what they want to do so be it. I'm referring to scoring that additional touchdown.

That's football and the game you play if you do/don't play them. As I said above, I'm referring to tacking on the additional touchdown.

So tackling them at the knee and popping an ACL would be an acceptable way to stop them or rip them down by the facemask?
That happens in football doesn't it?

Funny how 2 different things always have to be about 1 thing for you Buckeyes. It's funny.

Good grief dude not every opinion that differs from yours is an Ohio vs. Indiana thing.

I don’t care about the touchdown at all - I’m of the same mindset, if Crestview fans or anyone else don’t like it, then stop it.

I do, however, think it’s extremely stupid on Bluffton’s end. Whether it’s dumb/lazy coaching to not want to put in your young guys, or if it is intentional stat padding, it’s stupid either way.

No it's more of an Ohio opinion for sure on this one. Yes not everything has to be but I'll point those out. Just like you Grove fans complaining about Bluffton fans being ridiculous (which a couple can be). Same crap so good grief just take the Bluffton comments & move on. Especially when you have beat them constantly.

Personally, I would like to see is pull guys, once you hit running clock, especially in the 4th start peppering in young guys, it's a lot different playing on Friday than Saturday and is a great way to reward some scout team guys. We left starters all in against LCC also.
I hope it's not about the shutouts again, that really went well last year and doesn't mean anything.
I'm guessing Indiana doesn't have any football message boards, not sure why this guy keeps coming on an NWC site.to talk about his Indiana schools

Outside of pumping up stats and scores I really don’t see any positives to consistently keeping your starters in that late. Not very good long term thinking IMO, both for the risk of injuries to starters and development of the younger players

Keeping The starters in during blowouts makes zero degree of sense. If you aspire to raise your program to the next level that is one of worst moves a coach can do. Just drives kids away when they bust their tail in practice only to relegated to the sidelines on Friday. IMO the coach has serious issues if he does this over and over . It has now developed into a pattern and future Bluffton team may suffer because of this insidious behavior of a glory driven coach

Finally, something everyone can agree on.
We do, I just answer questions. You kept going back to a different point instead of the one I was discussing. Grove chimed in. Wasn't about Indiana but about Buckeyes (assuming) most are OSU fans. The response was typical OSU shtick.

I'll add a "Bluffton" type post for you. Just wait for the day Crestview, Spencerville, & Delphos Jefferson are top of the leader board while AE, Bluffton, LCC & Grove are having down years. I'll become a bigger PITA than now 😉. Ft. Loramie is ok & can be near the top as well. Lord help us all if Wayne Trace goes 2013 mode & Parkway ever does anything in the MAC. I'll be insufferable touting the Stateline area.

I know about 8 people from Grove and zero from Bluffton so I might have the tiniest bit of bias because I really like all the Grove people I know but my goodness the Bluffton people here are OBSESSED with them and kind of weirding me out. I'm eager to see how we much up with Bluffton on Friday....at this point nobody has given me any reason to "like" the Pirates so I'm hoping we can ruin their 9-0 party with Grove.

I'm not sure stalkers are this obsessed with the people they stalk.

What does a light show have to do with tackling, winning the line of scrimmage, or catching a ball? Wapakoneta has had flashing lights for 3 years and they still taking care of business. That decision was made by adults, not the kids.
Bonus thought to add to this - I saw on NWO Sports that Liberty Center also has the same type of lights now, so Grove, Wapak, and Liberty Center are the "area" teams that have similar flashing lights. Seems like a decent enough sample size to prove the fancy lights have nothing to do with toughness...

Just wait and see. 1. We are old school and have great coaches! 2.Your school relies way too much on analytics and statistics according to a Lima News article I read the other week. 3. Doesn't seem like the coaches know how to coach.
They straight up kicked our butts this year. Don’t over look them little pirate. They could easily sink your ship.
1. If that was the case you wouldn’t have lost to them twice last year. And I’m pretty sure this is the same head coach that has lost the last 7 games to Grove 😂
2. It was just a news article about their stat guy that have being doing the stats last 20 years or so and how he runs it for the program. Has nothing to do with their game plan
3. Yeah. They must suck at coaching considering they are standing at 7-0.
4. You must love attention making all these claims just to get a response. I got nothing else better to do. So why not respond.

Week 8 predictions:

Bluffton wins in a tougher than expected battle, 35-7 over FL
CG 35-14 over Crestview
LCC by however many they want over Spencerville. Their offense has gotten better since switching offensive coordinators last week.
AE by however many they want over DJ.
