I heard from his sister Stefanie today that BG finally decided to redshirt Nick for the season. He is doing a lot better after dealing with his staph infection. She said he lost about 30 pounds in a week while undergoing treatment for it. He has already gained about 10 of it back. Of course he lost a lot of his strength while dealing with the whole thing, but it looks like he is getting back on the right track. Good luck to him in the future.
