Does anyone know if the OHSAA pays travel costs for playoff participants?

They used to pay a portion but they don’t anymore.

It used to be based on mileage. There was a cap. I’m just throwing a hypothetical number out there. Say the trip is over 150 miles, then they tipped in. Under 150 miles, the school paid. They did away with that?

You think those extra playoff games would pay for that. I imagine it works it’s self out with these late round games, but I bet it’s a financial burden for the first round bottom seeded teams that have to travel the length of their region.
You would think they would pay some of those first round road trips of 2.5 to 3 hour bus rides. Specifically for Celina, our first round game we played Hillsboro who traveled 2.5 hours while our farthest playoff game we will travel to (so far) is Xenia at 1.5 hours. Also had Bryan at West Holmes and Bath at Glenville in the first round.
