NE8 2024

Hubbard has the worst offensive line in the conference point blank. That's tough to say considering Hubbard traditionally always banked on being above average in the trenches. I don't think #14 and the receivers are bad. They just don't have a chance. Defense gave up after Beaver Local.

Hubbard plays west branch

Probably but not necessarily. It depends on the outcome of two games today. Akron Buchtel can still move up to 13th if two of their defeated opponents win today. I don't think Ellet will beat Firestone but you never know. Garfield might beat East but both teams need a win to make the playoffs. I would think East is a favorite but I don't know that for sure. In any case Buchtel needs wins from Ellet and Garfield to pass Hubbard. If that happens Hubbard would be at Streetsboro. The Griffs only need one of those two to win to pass Mooney.

Do they still have the same OL coach from previous years ?

Barring an upset Struthers host Norton next week at laddie fedor. Would rather Struthers drop to 8 but an upset would need to happen today for that. Goodluck to all ne8 teams in the playoffs. If you want a conference opponent to lose to an out of area team you’re a loser

Did somebody say Norton?

For years every time I saw a Norton score the above image would come to mind. :)

I was struck by how the entire offensive line seemed to be in 'energy conservation mode' from the outset. A couple of the guys hardly made it into the offensive huddle after each play. Just ridiculous body language. I understand that they're big boys, but they need to sit and watch if there are other guys who'll make an effort. JMHO.

You are correct. There is no excuse for being out of shape. I don't care if you are a lineman or not. It is a complete lack of discipline that falls squarely on the shoulders of the coach. Just like the years and years of personal foul penalties. Undisciplined.

Ellet and Garfield both lost so Hubbard did finish in the #13 spot and will indeed play at West Branch.

Good luck to all the NE8 teams.

I also thought Girard could be in trouble when I saw Edison. Then I realized there’s 2 Edison’s and this isn’t the one that beat Perkins. The Edison that Girard isn’t playing has a much more impressive looking resume. Girard will be ok.

Yes, that is Milan Edison. They are near the Sandusky area.
