NE8 2024

Where do you think the raiders with use him this season?

Last season, Naujeat Jones had 26 catches for 507 yards & 4 TDs. In fact, his 189 receiving yards vs. Boardman is the second highest single-game total in Harding history (Mario Manningham- 257 yards vs. Cleveland Glenville in 2004) and his 859 career yards rank th all time. His graduation opens up a plethora of opportunities on offense, so I'll look for Sims to step in and flex his muscles at wide receiver, which he did last season in his All-Trumbull County season at Girard (906 receiving yards & 21 total TDS).

Looking forward to it!

He’s a good one if he can escape the injury bug he’s gonna be really good for you guys. Seems like coach is getting the kids to buy in over there already

Saw Girard at Ursuline today. The Indians are small at the skill and seem young. Once they settled down a bit they made a couple plays but losing Sims is really going to hurt. The freshman QB is their best athlete. He has a really good arm and is pretty accurate too. He is going to be very good before his career is done. He also starts at safety. They are going to need their line to really step up and protect him if they are going to win some games. The backup is just average at best.

You must be new.

1. Harding was hated on for years about getting transfers. When you're not successful though, most people don't care. The sooner that trend becomes more consistent again, the hate will soon follow.

2. Harding's kids have been getting poached by other schools for years. Again, very few outside our little bubble care though because the overall focus statewide is on the more successful schools. In that regard, with the momentum in Warren right now (solid end to 2023 season, new & improved coaching staff, new & enhanced facilities, etc.), don't expect to see to many more kids bounce unless playing time is an issue.

3. In 2015, I was leaving the Harding-Howland game when a female Tiger fan yelled, "YOU ONLY WON BECAUSE YOUR QUARTERBACK IS FROM LIBERTY!" I told the lady, "He's actually from Youngstown. Just like your starting tailback is." She was stunned 🤣

4. Public or private, people have their own personal reasons for sending their kids to certain schools. Some cases are easier to figure out than others, but unless a parent asks for my personal opinion on their situation (rare occurence, but it's happened before), I usually don't speak on it.
Perfectly said Worm, what I don't understand is why people still get mad at kids for transferring when if you look at a place like Warren Harding the tradition there speaks for itself. I mean obviously they have not been what they wear in the past in the last couple years but they play a big time schedule they're playing meaningful games and college scouts is going to always be walking the halls of Warren G Harding high School like it's common damn sense

A 7 on 7 isn’t going to tell you anything about a ball club.

That’s just false. A 7 on 7 isn’t going to be predictive of a team’s overall success, but it absolutely exposes a team’s strengths and weaknesses regarding its skill.
Skill that’s really it, most know who’s good and who isn’t it’s about scheme. High school football is won up front more then anywhere else

I am not a 7v7 fan whatsoever but it can tell you alot about the athleticism, skill and ability of the athletes. If your wide receiver can't run or catch in shorts and a tshirt he sure as hell isn't going to do it in pads and a helmet. Timing, route running, qb's accuracy all can be judged fairly well. 7v7s can tell you a lot about teams that run offenses like Girards.

I don’t see girard winning many league games this year, I could be wrong but they gotta replace a ton

They agreed initially to play Struthers week 3 then dropped the game and picked up a game with a team 3 hours away for an easy win. Hope Hubbard beats them by 100
Wilmington actually is playing a team that played for the 1A state championship last year. I don't know what that team has coming back but I am sure that it isn't an "easy" win and I am sure that team isn't as good as Struthers.

The AD thought she had Canton South wrapped up but probably didn't look at who CS was playing in weeks 1 & 2. Should have scheduled Ursuline. That would be a great game IMO.

They lose a lot but they’re very similar to brookville who Struthers played last year. There were rumblings last year that we were gonna try to get a deal done with CS before the playoff game and it never happened and nobody thought it would ever happen. Struthers/ursuline woulda been a really fun game this year, sucks when we miss out on big games, just like SR and Canfield never playing when they should have
