She now has the NC State indoor 5000 record. Hartman also earned 1st team All-American with a 5th place in the 3000.

Justin Abrams (Cincinnati) of Mt Healthy, 8th place in the men's heptathlon. He vaulted a meet best of 17-3½ to move up in the standings.

Nick Plant (Canfield)

7th place for VA Tech in DMR this past indoor 'ship
I was hoping that Plant would have qualified for the 800 as well. He narrowly missed but it was competitive this year. There were something like 20 or 21 guys that had times between 1:46 & 1:47.

I believe that Plant has two outdoor seasons remaining at Tech and I look for him to get better. He has a great coach in Ben Thomas, who is also the coach of Olympic 1500 gold medalist Cole Hocker. Hocker often trains at VT so there a lot of talent there in Blacksburg.
