NCAA XC Championship Results

Lebanon HS graduate Faith Duncan won the D3 women's individual title by 42 seconds in 20:16. Duncan transferred to Wilmington from Mississippi State U. MIT claimed the women's team title.

BYU men and women sweep the DI team titles. BYU's 5th man was Dublin Coffman graduate Lucas Bons.

Grace Hartman of Oakwood & NC State was the first woman from the United States in the D1 championship, finishing 5th.

Finally had a chance to watch the DIII women's race last night after work. Duncan's back story is rather interesting, IMHO:
- Began her collegiate career at Mississippi State but was hampered by injuries.
- Transferred to Dayton and did not join the XC or track teams.
- Transferred to Wilmington and won the DIII 5k on the track last spring.
- She is also a triathlete and reportedly swam in the morning before the meet.

Incidentally, Wilmington only had 7 women on their XC roster this fall.
