I am looking forward to the Krienik/Kast matchups with Moe's D. As well as Finegan/Bauer/Carrol vs Aves long poles.

Face-Off winners will dictate alot of this game....

If you are basing your predictions off face-offs, then Sycamore has the upper hand. They have several good face-off men where Moeller is limited.

You're right. Sycamores middie faceoff guys are very good. I am not sure Mason won any in the game I saw.

As much as I like Finnegan, Kast may be the best player in Cincinnati this year.

I'm sorry but that is way wrong. Just because Kast is the leader in the state of goals scored doesn't make him the best player.

I've guarded both over the past couple of years and Finnegan is a way better all-purpose attackman.

I think they are both excellent at creating shooting space.

I'd like to see what any Sycamore attack would do against teams such as UA, Worthington Kilbourne, Thomas Worthington, Brother Rice, Western Reserve, etc....

....but they don't play those teams. I guess playing Lakota West twice a year tests them enough.

You'll get no argument from me. They're both damn good at finding the back o' the net, tho. I'm sure Kast has more goals because Sycamore doesn't have as many options to score. Finnegan is really good at setting up other guys, too.

Looking on Laxpower, I see Finnegan's going to Delaware but there's no listing for Kast. Does anybody know where he's going?

All about heart...

Agree with some of the posts above that game could be close- I think it will come down to face-offs and even more importantly ground balls. Whichever team comes out with hustle and heart and can get the loose balls will win.

In the Sycamore/St. X game Sycamore looked good in 1st half possessing ball and getting good shots and had X on the ropes. A sloppy 2nd half and some stupid penalties got them into trouble and cost them the game.

Moeller will put up points on Sycamore defense with 3 attackmen (Finegan, Hofrichter, Bauer) that continue to work well and put up big points every week. They have more scoring power at middie than prior years but have struggled on D at times. If they can keep possession even they should win.
If Sycamore spends 5+ minutes in the box... then it could be lopsided.

Carroll is playing middie this year. Moe's attack is finegan/bauer/Hofichter. They have proven to be a very solid attack line against some pretty tough opponents(much like St. X, they put up alot points against WRA). I think it will come down to who's defense showed up to play and of course ...penalties.

Hopefully, the officials and coaches will keep the game under control.

Thanks for the info. I know Connor is playing middie, I just like his ability to beat the ride in the middle of the field and distribute. I do like Alex in there with Sean and Cory. I like Urban in the mix to.

So many weapons....
