Moeller vs. Mariemont

Mariemont didn't look very good. Many poor throws and missed passes. They were not very impressive. Moe took advantage of alot of those errors.

Did that goal go in for MM? It looked like it did. Did the ref miss that?

There was no crease violation at all, White wasn't even close to the crease when he smoked his defender. Everyone in the stadium saw that it was a goal.

Every Mariemont player stopped after he scored and a Moeller player picked it up and ran down the field and passed to an attackman who scored. It was bogus.

Even if there was a slight possibilty that it was a crease violation(which it wasn't) then the refs should have blown the whistle for a dead ball. But no, they didn't. Overall, the officiating was terrible.

I do think the officiating was poor. They missed alot calls on both teams. I am not sure I have ever seen so many mouthpiece violations called, yet they missed slashes all over the field.

Moeller played great offense and shot very well.

Mariemont did not play well and did not take care of the ball as stated above.

Moeller moved the ball and found the open man with the extra pass all night long. Their well placed shots showed that they had practiced shooting to the right spots and on many the goalie had no chance to make a save.

Regarding officiating or goal or no goal, that seems irrelevant.

Simply put, Moeller outplayed Mariemont and was the better team last night.

Nothing new here. Cincinnati officating has always been poor (except for a select few), these comments do not surprise me at all.

Who played well?

Moeller outplayed Mariemont but in no way should an official or even THREE miss a goal, that is ridiculous, no matter if your a Moeller or Mariemont fan.

Who played well?

For Moe, Sean Finegan, Cory Bauer, Billy Wersel, Connor Carroll played well on O and Jake Hubbard and Billy Yates had good games on D.

I think it was Drake Peterson I remember playing well for MM.

How to beat Moeller in one easy lesson.

Coach Kennedy doesn’t like to substitute at the attack and defense lines. I believe (I could be wrong) they only play 8 at middie.

Lesson 1 - Run on them!

Go quick, lots of line/personal changes and by the end of any quarter they will be dead!

Now you can disagree with me all you want, it’s my own opinion and I’m willing to bet it would work!

Alert to all area lax coaches: SportsDad8 has the magic recipe to beat Moeller! He came to this supreme knowledge not through actually playing or coaching the game, but by watching a few games and talking lax at Willie's with some overweight lax dads after said games.

I agree with the above but would also add for Moeller - Andrew Urban who had 2 sweet goals, Alex Hofrichter who had 2 assists, many ground balls and rode the defense all night long, and you can't leave out Moes goalie who I heard is a sophmore. He did a great job!

Mariemont just was not in the game from the very beginning. I understand they graduated a lot of talent last year, but believe a lot of good players remain. I would expect a big improvement by the end of the season.
