Moeller 17 Mason 4

Wasn’t even that close. Moeller took control of the game at the very beginning and seemed to score at will. 85% of the first half was played on the Mason side of the field. Mason got two goals in the first half one from Mahoney. Must have been a bad night for him or he was just out matched he didn’t impressed me at all. Even the reserves for Moeller played well. Mason just didn’t have the man power tonight.

It is a little tough to impress anyone when only 15% of the game is played in your end....

mason scored off of ground balls mainly, such as picking them up in the middle and shooting or something like that, they had no goals off of running an offense or transitioning the ball, even against moellers reserve line of D

I don't know why you continue to try and talk Mahoney up, I saw him get stripped a number of times, most of them against Moeller's 3rd string defenders.

Sounds like he had a rough night.

I wish they would record how many times a defender took the ball away; other than GB's, most d-poles don't look too good on paper since attackman can rack up a good number of goals and it won't even be the defenders (who is gaurding him) fault.

No doubt in my mind after watching the game that none of Mason's goals would have made it past the starting goalie. Three of the goals should have been easy saves that apparently Moeller's second/third string goalies apparently can't handle.

that's another thing to keep in mind, the 1st string goalie was taken out in the 1st quarter, and the 2nd string goalie only played until halftime. the whole 2nd half was the the third string goalie.

Yah, all im trying to say is the score was around 6-0 when they started getting in the bench warmers.

I am not talking Mahoney up. Somewhere along the line, you need to remember this is still a team game. Even the best players suffer when they are not around other players to feed them. Itis easyto control a guy when the offensive weapons are limited. Mason's program is growing and he has had something to do with that. Are they at Moes level? Not even close, but in time they will.

Justin is good kid that has given a lot to the Mason Youth Lacrosse Program. Since I do not know you, I am not sure what you have given to the Jr Crusaders. I am sure you would help as well. Whether he is up to youir standard, you should cut him a little slack if you can. He is a good guy with solid stick skills. Justin would never had said that. He and his family are 100% Mason. I would love to see his little brother on the Jr Crusaders, but they stayed and played in Mason. (Where he is the best 4th grader on their team) No chance he said that.

As for the game itself....I am a fan of both teams, and yes Moeller had their way with them...but they should. I wouldn't be pleased with beating Mason like that. I know Kennedy and Englehart aren't.

What do you mean by saying that Moeller shouldn't be pleased with beating Mason like that.

Moeller did not play that well. The ball was on the ground alot. For a team of that quality, who has a solid chance at state, they should beat an up and comer like Mason with much more efficency.

That is nothing against Mason. They were out manned. I thought the guys played hard. But Moe is better than Mason for them to compete with the UA's and the WRA's of the world, they have to play at that level and they didn't. I undertand many times you play to the level of the competition. But if we want a Lacrosse state winner from R4, they have to play like R1 or R2 every night out.

ok this might not matter to anyone but could you atleast get the score of the game correct... 17-5.. and btw Mason's JV played well and beat moe...

seeing as I already told everyone who I was not knowing the whole anonymous forum rule I would just like to say this..please just stop talking about me. I am aware I have played horribly so far this season and have been letting my team down.. and I never said I was offered a scholarship to Moeller to play, I never even conversed with a player on Moe. So I don't know where you get this stuff, but just drop it. please.

Mason's JV team is not too shabby. Evan Armentrout's got skills. They have some good freshman middies too, and a decent goalie. With prospects like that their varsity has a bright future.

You forget
#1 - the Reserves were in!
#2 - in a blow out game it's easy for the winning team to lose direction, (when they score so easy)

Your comment Justin would never had said that.
Lets just say 5 Moeller players would not lie like that - RIGHT - after the game, no time to orgainize their stories.

Not accusing anyone of lying. Don't put words in my mouth. I was standing there when the ground ball in the middle of the field ended the game. Justin and Mason kids whent their way (NE Corner) and Moes kids went to the sidelines. Never saw a thing like that happen. Not saying it didn't. It just doesn't sound anything like Justin. He is a great kid and his family is 1st class. Give it a rest.

Mason's JV team is solid and the freshman that are there now, destroyed Moe last year. Moes Youth teams are running roughshod through most everyone this year (I think the 5/6 B team lost one game in OT), but the rest are winning and winning easy.

Both programs have promising futures..

You have to keep im mind that half the kids that were in for Moeller won't see the field in a game versus a team from R1 or R2. Their starting midfield, attack, and goalie saw a fraction of their normal playing time during the game.

I agree with that. Personally, I would just like to see the state winner come from R4, whoever that is......
