It's the same way at most schools of this caliber. The visiting team doesn't like to see their team lose. Many people who don't have a dog in the fight, would travel to see a game. Most folks prefer the home stands. they are almost always better.
minster had both Versailles and Coldwater at home this season , and was surprised by the lack of the number of fans that they brought to the game...

It might also help if ML could seat more than 14 people. You might think for as long as they have been a powerhouse, It would make financial sense( in the long run) to enlarge the stadium.
Marion's visitor stands seat 1000 plus you have general admission on the Marion side. How many visitors do you think the stadium should seat?

Oh really? I've been there! They could at least have a stadium of D4 category. It would be no problem filling the seats. Convince me I'm wrong. It might be nice if you EVER had any facts to back up your ramblings.
It's frugal/conservative MAC country.
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it"
How long would it take to recoup the cost just to accommodate fans....mainly visiting fans?

Did some research used Ohio Stadiums. Basically used the schools I picked to win in Limaland pickem contest. Added the other MAC and WBL schools, also random schools Liberty Center 2400 Patrick Henry 2395. There were 25 stadiums I included avg. Seating capacity came to 3025. Marion Local capacity 2275 largest Wapak 6500 smallest Hardin Northern 853. WBL raised the avg NWC and BVC lowered avg. I believe Marion Locals capacity is easily in line with the size of their community. In defense of Marion's visitors Seating they are elevated (not all stadiums are) so all seats are usable. I doubt the capacity on Ohiostadiums.com included the end zone bleachers. I am comfortable with our Seating Capacity.

I haven't attended any home or away games this year due to health issues but have had a reserved seat for 30+ years. The size of visiting crowds has plummeted in the last 10-15 years. Most teams, even Marion Local and Coldwater, only bring maybe 200-300 max to a game. I think it's that way everywhere. I understand struggling teams not bringing many fans but top ranked, unbeaten teams, it's a bit of a surprise. And high school band sizes have also gone way down. It's the same in basketball. People just don't go to games like they used to.

It seems that average people aren't interested in extracurricular activities in general. They want to stay home & stream shows and whatever else. See it for sports, dance, choir, band, 4H&FFA, and etc that it is the same people at all those activities.

That is true...CW brought an embarrassing small crowd to Delphos. I admit I went to a diff game because didn't wanna drive an hour to see an awful game.

Lots of people like to watch it on TV.

not sure how good of a idea is that people can stream it in bars and at home LIVE? how much money do the schools make off that service???

MAC stats are available on the MAC Facebook page.

I think each game is $10. The school gets some of the fee but I don't know how much. Streaming games is a godsend for me. A wrecked back keeps me from going to football games but I can watch them all online. Surgery in December with a 3 month recovery is going to take away most/all of the basketball season. At least I can watch Cam Elwer and the 'Jays on my laptop. I got a year subscription for $100 which covers football, volleyball, boys and girls basketball and baseball. I've had football season tickets for 30 years and boys basketball for 40 years so not going to all these games is kinda rough.

MAC stats for football and volleyball are on the Midwest Athletic Conference Facebook page. Week 7 football was posted 3-4 days ago. I also share them on the Delphos St. John's Athletic Boosters Facebook page.

Thank you for that. Such a shame
