I'm a little late to this discussion, but there is an excellent book on the history of Aliquippa and its football team called Playing Through the Whistle. I highly recommend it.
They’re playing 3 divisions up and still a state contender year in and outAliquippa is near Pittsburgh and it’s anything but a suburb. It’s a once thriving steel town that has lost 70% of its population since 1970. It’s an old proud city but decaying. Not a suburb.

And a ……….Steubenville is a suburb of Pittsburgh. No city in Ohio is more tied into the Pittsburgh economy. 30 minute drive to city, 20 minute to airport. So, yes a surburb. Pop. 18,000k. Under 700 in high school.
