Agree, still no official word on whoIf that's who it is, which I doubt, that would be about as big of a home run as the district could hit

This is what I have been told today alsoWord out of Wayne Co is Joe Cardinal from Northwestern. Was at NW for one year, apparently the district didn’t meet him 1/2 way for teaching job. Hired him for one position, had him teach something else. Think he came to NW after coaching a couple years in Tennessee.
Rumor was he was in the running for Marlington, but sounds like they are going somewhere else. They just hired his OC at JFK. My guess is he stays at Salem.Has Lude been in touch with Marlington or JFK?
Lots of talk on this thread about this program looking for stability. Interesting to replace a guy who is leaving after one year for a guy who will be leaving another job after one year and going 9-3. Great get for Marlington though if he does stick around
Yes but Joe Cardinal grew up in Alliance. He knows the inner workings of Limaville.Lots of talk on this thread about this program looking for stability. Yep, home roots, he will do it rightYes but Joe Cardinal grew up in Alliance. He knows the inner workings of Limaville.
His job at Northwestern was in Wayne County between Wooster and Ashland; way west of Alliance.
He'd have to know this is a major rebuilding job in Duke Country.
It was not himIf that's who it is, which I doubt, that would be about as big of a home run as the district could hit
Has the board met to approve the hire?Has the new hire been announced or confirmed yet? Seems like all the news on this went quiet
Yeah. I think it may take a few years to turn the program into a winner. If you don’t have the Jimmy and Joe’s it doesn’t matter.
It will never be a "winner" the era of being able to build programs up to a high level is all but over. The ceiling is a perennial first round playoff exit, the floor should be 2-3 wins a season. Parents in Marlington will complain regardless of what the talent on the field is capable of and the bad financial decisions made by the morons on the school board will eventually compound to a level where they run the coach out of town and the process will repeat again and again until the state takes over running the districtYeah. I think it may take a few years to turn the program into a winner.
They use to have a bunchIf you don’t have the Jimmy and Joe’s it doesn’t matter.
Does he have a teaching position...Mauro didn't have one...I would be worried as a new hire...they may end up RIF'ing some teachers with the way their budget isYes but Joe Cardinal grew up in Alliance. He knows the inner workings of Limaville.
