Final Comments:
Strengths will be our defense. Our pitching has some potential to be a strength of our team as well if our guys continue to build the mentality they have shown so far. Our weakness will be offensively, we averaged less than 5 hits a game last year and lacked overall team speed. I expect both of those areas to be improved now that our returning guys have that year of experience under their belt and the guys we have coming in are showing good promise in both of those areas as well.
This team in particular should progress well throughout the season. Our league is definitely a grind day in and day out and we have to do the little things better to put ourselves in a position to win games against the teams in our league. That is what makes the game fun. You don't have to have the biggest, strongest or fastest in baseball to win (though it certainly helps), but you can play better than your opponent and beat anyone on any day if you do those little things within the game better than your opponent. Our guys are working really hard to be better in those areas and I expect really strong improvement from these guys this year.
