Lockland gets new Track surface, who wants Nite Relays Back?

Lockland is getting it's track resurfaced. Who remembers night relays and would love to see it return?
As a former competitor at the Lockland Nite Relays decades ago, I would. That meet dates to April 22, 1938 for its first inception. Roettger Stadium is a classic post-WWII concrete stadium along the lines of Cincinnati Reading's Veterans Memorial Stadium. Many great athletes have competed in that stadium and in the Nite Relays over the decades. I hope they are able to do so!

This is good to hear. Hopefully District Meets will return to Roettger(whatever they look like starting next year)

Lockland was a nice central location for all but the most eastern-most schools. New Richmond, as nice as it is, is a haul for most of the schools in the D2 & D3 meets. I hope that the shot put sector at Lockland has been relocated from the visitor side of the stadium from its former area as it was both a short sector, and downhill, then uphill. The discus area was decent enough, but needed some work on the ground around the pad for the ring. I'm going off of 15-yr old memories, though, and those may have changed since then.

When the D2 & D3 districts, then Class AA & A, moved from Reading to Glen Este in 1988, Glen Este was a good site as it was just off of I-275 in Withamsville. Unfortunately, that is no longer an option. Lockland is a very intimate setting for a meet like the district meet.

I'm partial to New Richmond due to its stunning beauty, but with the way the new divisions will work out next year, I see no reason not to see both schools host different divisions, say Lockland DII-DII, NR DIV-V or vice versa
