The Bobcats (22-5, 13-3 MAC) missed their first 14 shots and had a few turnovers before finally making a shot by that time this one was all but over as Kent State (17-9, 12-4 Conf) had a double-digit lead and they never took their foot off of the gas pedal. For the game, the Bobcats hit a frigid 23.1% from the floor, including 17.9% from beyond the three-point line. Kent State hit 52% from the floor. Leading the runaway winners were, starter Malique Jacobs ( Wilmington, NC) with 14 points and 9 boards and reserve Giovanni Santiago (Bayamon, Puerto Rico) 14 points. For the ice-cold Bobcats, Jason Carter (Johnstown, OHIO) had 12 points and 5 boards.
