I know there are many Jim Harbaugh haters. But for many of us that appreciate what he has done for the Michigan program as the Head Coach (and now for the college football athlete). :

Jim Harbaugh over the last six months:

Won "THE" National Championship
Won third straight Big Ten Title
Sent Nick Saban into retirement at the Rose Bowl
Signed $16 million/year NFL contract

Paved the way for colleges to directly pay athletes for first time in 100+ years
BROKE
osu!!!

I dunno, kinda looks like he broke Michigan. Time will tell.
Nah. Winning the Natty just as college football is going through serious changes that (IMHO) are not good. The portal sucks and NIL sucks. The players love it, I despise it. It's free agency and I lost interest in the NFL because of it and the same will happen regarding college. Not a fan at all with where it is truly headed.

No way to know for sure where it will end up, but my guess is it won’t be better than what we had before.

I agree with you. The modern day athlete is coddled, pampered, and entitled. And giving a kid 6-7 figure $ to play ball at a school when they have never even had a practice at said school is CRAZY. (IMHO).

How did he pave the way for colleges to directly pay athletes? He did nothing but talk, and no one really listens to that weirdo.

Although his achievements at Michigan may wind up with an asterisk, you have to give the devil his due. Through excellent recruiting via the portal, judicious use of NIL for player retention, along with phenomenal player development, Harbaugh won what many consider to be the last "old school" national championship.

And there is something to saying he broke Ohio State. At least psychologally, he lived rent free in Ryan Days head since 11/30/2020.

Having Connor Stalions tainting all of Michigan's accomplishments, can Harbaugh say he won honestly?

He was one of the biggest advocates over and over. Every interview he did was deflected to the kids and what can we do for the student athletes. Including "pay the players".

His voice meant nothing. Silly to suggest it did. Ironic too that Michigan has the worst NIL game going.

You have all the answers already. So there is no need for my input or feedback. Just be glad that Jim Harbaugh is in the NFL, because if he was still at Michigan, osu would have a very difficult time beating Michigan. He owns cryin ryan.

We will never know. He was going to have to start over anyway. And we all know what it looked like when he started.

Harbaugh left Michigan because he knows he is guilty and wanted a no-fire clause in a new contract. If he isn't guilty, what was he afraid of?
"However, if Harbaugh decides to stay in the college ranks, he is not only seeking immunity from firing based on the findings of current investigations, but he reportedly wants future assurances as well.
Per Wetzel, Harbaugh wants language in his contract that would prevent Michigan's athletic director from firing him for cause if future issues arise. Harbaugh is reportedly asking that a three-member arbitration panel decide his fate in such a case."

We can agree to disagree. He left because he took Michigan (his alma-mater) to the summit. That was his goal when he took over the program. Mission accomplished. He has always wanted to win a Super Bowl ring. So now he gets the opportunity to do that in L.A. It worked out perfect for him. Michigan Wolverine alum, admin, players, and fans all thank him for turning around the program and bringing the Natty to Ann Arbor where it belongs. And now he gets to pursue a Vince Lombardi trophy. And I for one, hope he gets it. Go Blue!

The pressure during Harbaugh's last time as a NFL coach took him to the brink of having a mental breakdown and to Michigan he went. Where does he end up this time after the pressure gets to him? Mental ward or back to small college or high school? I know listening to him speak when interviewed I would not want him coaching my son or now grand sons.

Harbaugh has truly evolved over the last 5 years or so. He is not the same coach that took the 49ers to the Super Bowl. He is much more calm and player friendly. He is also a much better delegator. He is going to be successful. Hate all you want, but he is a very good coach and has grown to understand and relate to his players much better in the last 5 years.

I would. God and family is what he puts first. IMHO you can't beat that.

Kinda like your hero Urban, who has retired multiple times due to health concerns every time his true character starts to show. Then miraculously gets healthy when a better job comes open. Until he got canned in the big leagues 13 games in. I wouldn't want that adulterous scumbag coaching my nephews.

I will agree. Neither one is perfect. Both are good coaches. Only one cheats to win.
Are you aware that Urban Meyers 2008 Florida Gator National Championship team have had 41 players arrested. Including Aaron Hernandez for murder. Nice. Harbaugh and his staff recruits high character young men. It is a reflection of the character and morals between the 2 coaches. Just an FYI.

Urban was not my hero. I put him in the same class of coaches along with Cooper.
