Bucksman, have you ever got lucky in your life and acknowledged it. I love it, it is wrestling!!If you watch the video, Cassioppi got the first takedown and then looks like he overcooked a turn attempt. Absolute aberration in terms of the outcome.
Girad Graduate (D2 state champion) Jack Delgarbino sticks 3 ranked Tony Cassioppi as he's coming off of a U23 World title.
Agreed. I think he even, 'baited' Cass into it.Was it an outcome unlikely to replicate? Yes, likely.
However, I watched it again. Delgarbino stuffs Casiopppi's head as soon as the turn starts, they bridges up and over. Looks like he might be blocking the post arm, too. He knew what he was doing...it's not like a 4th grader got too high running the half.
It was definitely a calculated move! Love to see that kind of wrestling, never stop moving!Agreed. I think he even, 'baited' Cass into it.
My thought progression seeing this:O'Conner loses.
Griffith loses.
Wentzel loses.
Lehigh was on fire!My thought progression seeing this:
O'Connor loses to Peyton Robb- Well I can see that, upset but nothing wild. Robb can hang with the good guys, but doesn't usually beat them
Griffith loses to Ramirez- A bit more unexpected, but not crazy. Ramirez was a Top 10 recruit who has been out a couple years due to Covid
Wentzel loses to Brian Meyer- wait, who? What? How?
Anytime I wonder why Micky Phillippi has never AA'd, just remind me he does stuff like get defensive pinned by Malyke Hines ?@Yankeefan33

Glad to see Ohio kid Manzona Bryant in that starting lineup. Also nice to see Elijah Cleary get a shot starting for Pitt
