IUDOGS: 2022 - 2023 Ohio High School Head Football Coaching Changes

Looks like Louisvillle HS has their replacement. Can’t believe a successful FCS defensive coordinator is going down to the HS level.
Lima Shawnee did this in 2015, they hired a GA from Ohio State after they won the National Championship. They went 0-10 and scored around 60 points the entire season.

IMO, Chris Kappas is in a completely other league than Carpenter was. Established guy who’s had a lot of success as a position coach/coordinator at different levels and not just some stints as a GA at some
big schools.

And then they hired Cooper and still score about 60 points a season.

Carpenter wasn't the problem. Shawnee is just bad.

They also hired someone you're close with and won 4 games the next two years to replace him. And replaced Crea with a lima recruiting legend that has also struggled.
Maybe the district/community is the issue?

Kappas has had incredible success at multiple levels, on both sides of the ball. Will his style of coaching college players translate to the HS level, that is the biggest question.

It always amazes me how many school districts are led by complete losers. Loser mentality with losing culture. I’m glad for this guy.
Its crazy how people get to positions of power with little to no skills/ability, its all about networking and appearing like you know what you are doing on social media.

"Fort Apache, The Bronx" Bring back Olwin!!!!
Someone said in the NWO football talk thread that McCord told the players that he's staying on as D-Coordinator and the new HC will be someone who's been at Fairview before. Likely either Olwin or Rakes

I think they'd have to be stupid not to at least consider it. Looking at the athletes they lost in the last 2 years, plus what they went through early on in the season, their interim HC did a heck of a job
On the other hand I'm guessing Tinora would get better applicants that the blackhole that is Paulding.

2 different rumors about Marion Harding ... wonder who it will be. Any news from anyone about Amanda Clearcreek? That has been open for a while. Correct me if I am wrong but wasnt Amanda Clearcreek one of the best "small schools" in Ohio in the early 2000's?
