Is D2 more powerful than D1 this year?

This is out year as long as we play 4 quarters of football. The moment we only play a half will be our downfall. As for Hoban they must play 4 quarters as well. That being said, goooooooo Tigers

No.. WW and LaSalle yes but the others may beat 1 team or so. Kings already lost to Sycamore which would be one of those teams.

Let’s take the hypothetical situation where the top 6 take on each other. The order could be flipped around this is just my personal order. Many of these games are toss ups

Mentor vs Hoban
St. X vs Massillon
St. Ignatius vs Winton Woods
Colerain vs Lasalle
Ed’s vs Toledo Central Catholic
Elder vs Avon
 
Even if you expand the list some... there’s no reason teams like Benedictine, Perry, Turpin, Kings etc can’t hang with the likes of Davidson, Coffman, Fairfield, Pick Central, springboro, Reynoldsburg etc
 
Hoban lost to AT BEST the 3rd best team in Division 1. Hoban is on another level compared to every other team in Division 2. How is this even a conversation. Sure, a D2 team will snatch a win over a D1 team every once in a while but very few D2 teams have shown they can survive a schedule full of D1 teams. The only one can think of is LaSalle. D1 is the ultimate level of ohio high school football.

That’s one game. What about your total schedule? Right now there is only one game, that being Warren, you can compare. McKinley defeated the Raiders 32-27 at “home.” The Tigers defeated the Raiders 49-7, in Warren.

Btw, you should stay off this thread McKinley struggles to beat either D1 OR D2. Remember your abysmal record vs D1 teams in recent years? We'll the two D2 teams that are closest to you are dominating you as we speak also.

We dominate you when it comes to being the best in Ohio, 3 State Football Championships to zip. Massillon simply stinks at winning titles, and those other D2s have no D1 state championships to match our's, either. You should stay off big boy threads and focus on the state powers you play like Firestone every year, or Sun Valley or whoever. Anytime you want to come and see what State Championship trophies look like, come to McKinley, because no one in Massillon has held one in 125 years, and we have 27.

Not to interrupt the Tallest Midget contest, but the answer to the question is no. D2 is most certainly not “more powerful” than D1 this year. There are maybe 2 teams who would even be a threat to win any D1 region...this or any year.
